Jo Armstrong (appointed 2014)
Jo is a business economist with an extensive professional career spanning Scotland’s oil and gas sector, financial services (in both London and Edinburgh) and the Scottish civil service. Jo has been the Budget Advisor to the Scottish Parliament’s Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee and its Local Government Committee. She has also been invited to give evidence to UK and Scottish Parliamentary Committees; the UK’s Energy & Climate Change and the Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committees as well as by the Scottish Parliament’s Finance Committee. Jo is an Honorary Professor of Public Policy at the Business School at Glasgow University and holds two degrees in economics. She is also Chair of Enable Scotland and a Trustee of Social Investment Scotland.
